The chipper program is available year round for tree branches and logs. Each week, the chipper makes its way through the City, starting on the Northwest side of the City and working South and East. We encourage residents to place branches and trimmings at the curb by 7:00 AM Monday morning. Do not place brush in the street. Stack brush as close to the curb as possible, with the cut end towards the curb. Stack piles so that branches do not become entangled and that logs are separate from branches. Bush stumps are accepted, however, the dirt must be removed from it. No stump grindings are accepted.
We are unable to collect tall (ornamental) grasses, vines, weeds, decayed firewood, or other forms of yard waste. This should be disposed of through regular trash service. Leaves are only accepted during the fall curbside leaf collection season. Railroad ties, landscape timbers, or other processed wood is also not accepted through the program or in the compost facility.
